Cakealicious was established October 2014 in The Gardens Corner, Dunedin. Owner Colleen Brent and her team of six staff have 25 years combined experience in the bakery industry.

Colleen Brent’s lifelong passion for baking and sugar craft has won her international and national awards. Colleen’s Snow White cake won silver at the 2012 New Zealand National sugar craft competition. Most recently, Colleen’s White Velvet wedding cake was awarded gold at the 2010 Cake International competitions held in London. After her success in London, Colleen tutored cake design workshops in Auckland and became a member of the committee for The New Zealand Cake Decorators Guild. Colleen returned home to Dunedin to set up her own bakery in 2013.
“I was in Dunedin on holiday visiting family and I paid a visit to some of the local bakeries. I saw there was a real need for the services I can offer, so I came back to open my own bakery. It just feels right too that I should open a bakery in my home town where it all started.”
